Before you pay for a suite, take three measurements in the bathroom.

The outlet position. Almost every pan sold here has a horizontal outlet at 180mm from the finished floor to the centre of the pipe. If your existing pipe comes out of the floor instead of the wall, you need an S trap, not a P trap, and they are not interchangeable without a pan connector.

The distance from the wall to the centre of the soil pipe. Close coupled suites need the cistern to sit flat against the wall while the outlet lines up. If the pipe centre is more than about 200mm off the wall, you need an offset connector.

The space in front. A standard pan projects around 680mm from the wall. Building regulations and plain comfort want at least 600mm of clear floor in front of that.

Wall hung pans solve the cleaning problem and cost more, because the frame carries the weight, not the floor. The frame has to be fixed during first fix, so decide before the walls are closed, not after tiling.
